Golden Brown & Delicious
About
Alex George is not one to stand still, and that is partly why after three years in The Village of West Greenville, he is bringing his Golden, Brown & Delicious restaurant to a new home.
The new outpost will take GB&D’s locally sourced, focused cuisine and expand it. George and his team have already been ramping up their creativity with their 5-nights-a-week dinner service, and they will continue that in the new location.
In addition, GB&D will offer two restaurant experiences, one a more quick-service, where guests can order at a window, and another, more traditional sit-down service. Plans call for serving lunch and dinner and possibly brunch a few days a week. George is also considering serving GB&D's doughnuts at the window in the morning.
The restaurant will feature seating inside and out, as well as lots of seating at a 25-foot bar. And about that bar, George and team are working on a classics-full cocktail menu.
For now, George plans to continue his food truck, which he has been growing with collaborations with Resident Dogs, and he will continue to grow Carol’s, his homemade ice cream shop. Bar Mars, which is slated to launch this month, also will remain in its Village home, but George has not yet decided what he will do with the current GB&D space.
